Pino Soccio, the founder of the Young Technicians Training Scheme, focuses largely on teaching and driving forward the Young Technicians programme. He has worked in the industry both on stage in touring bands and off stage in lighting and sound production for nearly 20 years and as a Music and Performing Arts Technician in a secondary school for 7 years.

His commitment and strong belief really does shine through.  He believes in investing in education and delivering a highly successful training scheme for everyone.  Pino looks forward to seeing his Young Technicians working in a live environment after putting all of the training into real life action.

Thomas Cave primarily focuses on content and delivery with lessons both theory and practically, with an emphasis in lighting, sound, stage production and management. He is very effective in his work and is a proactive member of the team. Thomas will manage event days and teams to deliver to the best standard in the industry with over 6 years of experience under his belt. He works very closely with Pino at festivals and other live events and is currently studying on the BBC apprenticeship programme in Manchester.

Thomas has been instrumental in designing the way in which we deliver our theory and practical lessons to all of our students.

Zack: his main focus is content creation and delivery, along with Thomas, and logistical management of the course. His main focus is on sound, lighting and event production and management. Zack will assist in the running of event days to ensure a high quality outcome and a smooth running operation.

Mark Owen focuses on sound and lighting at events. Mark does get involved with the build up, duration and conclusion of some events with Young Technicians. Mark will also be on hand training our young technicians in practical lessons at times. Mark has been involved in the industry for more than 20 years working with touring bands around the UK.

He has a wealth of knowledge and is always keen to get involved with the Young Technicians programme.
